*FREE* four-week long Virtual Cooking Series
Tastes of the World is a four-week long virtual cooking series. Starting on October 9th, we will be joined by leaders from all over the globe who have visited us through international exchange programs. Each of these programs will be a cook-along-side me program. After you RSVP for a program date, we will send you a recipe with ingredients to buy in preparation for the program.

Porfirio Nicolas Báez López

Dish: Dominican Flag Lunch

Porfirio is the CEO and Founder of Green Depot, the Dominican Republics’ premiere biodegradable utensil distributor. He visited Oregon in 2018 as a Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellow and is dedicated to creating an eco-friendlier environment in his country.

Franco Anzoategui and Claudia Lazcano Zúñiga

Dish: Peanut Soup

Klau (On the right) and Franco (not pictured) are joining us from Bolivia to show us how to make Peanut Soup! These two young leaders visited Oregon last fall as participants of the Youth Ambassador program. Klau is passionate about creativity and increasing educational opportunities in her community. Franco is a senior in high school and has created a community program that helps cancer patients and children in intensive care.

Yvette Mazariegos

Dish: Escabeche

In 2017, Yvette joined us as a participant of the International Visitor Leadership Program Women In Entrepreneurship (IVLP WIE) sponsored by the US Department of State and US Embassy of Belize. She is going to share with us how to make Escabeche, a popular Belizean dish, and share more about her passion for entrepreneurship and volunteerism.

Madeeha Shahid

Dish: Chicken Karahi

Madeeha was a participant of the IVLP Coalition-Building for NGOs back in 2017. She is the Director of Strategy at the Center for Development in Pakistan. We will be wrapping up our Fall virtual cooking program with Madeehaʻs Chicken Karahi.
