The Eco-School Network is grateful to Meyer Memorial Trust for granting us nearly $13,000 for equity training, diversifying the communities served by our network, and developing an organizational equity plan. As the grant year wraps up, we’re proud to have welcomed 10 new Title 1 schools this year, and we now serve 47% of all Title 1 schools in our districts. Through workshops, meetings and conversations with school communities, volunteer leaders, and equity expert Shauna Adams, we identified barriers to participation; revised our messaging, outreach methods and training curriculum; and drafted our plan to continue advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
